Community guidelines

Last updated August 2026

Stoop works because neighbors show up as their real selves. These guidelines keep the stoop a place people want to come back to.

What's welcome

Real photos of you. Plans you'd actually show up for. Warm, low-pressure invitations. Quiet exits without guilt.

What gets content removed and accounts ejected

Nudity or sexual content. Harassment, hostility or threats. Hate speech or hate symbols. Violence or graphic content. Scams, spam or selling. Impersonation or catfishing. Anything involving a minor.

Treating Stoop as a dating app — repeatedly hitting on members after being asked to stop.

Reporting and blocking

Every profile, photo and chat message has a report option, and you can block any member instantly from the same menu. Blocking is immediate and silent — they aren't told.

We review every report and act within 24 hours. Upheld reports mean the content is removed and the member is suspended or permanently banned.

Urgent safety concerns: safety@stoophq.com. If someone is in danger, call 911 first.

Meeting up safely

First hangs happen in public third places. Tell someone where you're going. Leave whenever you want — quiet exits are part of the Stoop Code.
