Stoop is a friendship app, not an ad network. We collect the minimum needed to help you meet neighbors, and we never sell your personal data.
Account data: email address, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), display name, and date of birth for age verification.
Profile data you choose to add: photos, pronouns, bio, prompts, interests, socials usernames, neighborhood, travel zone, and comfort filters.
Activity data: plans you post or join, circles and pods, waves, chat messages, and reports you file.
Technical data: basic device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.
Stoop is neighborhood-level, not GPS-level. We store the neighborhoods you select. We do not track your precise background location, and we do not share your live location with other members.
To show you relevant plans and potential friends, to run chats and RSVPs, to moderate content and investigate safety reports, and to send you service messages you have opted into.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Your profile is visible to other members only when you turn Village visibility on. Your email and date of birth are never shown to other members.
Blocked members cannot see you in the Village. Our moderation team can access reported content to review it.
You can delete your account in-app from Profile → Account & privacy. This permanently removes your profile, photos, and messages you authored.
We may keep a minimal record of safety reports and bans, without your profile content, to protect other members.
Requests and questions: privacy@stoophq.com.
Stoop is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when we learn of them.
